AO8 Business Services Manager

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Business/Corporate Services Managers for an upcoming six month temporary opportunity, with the possibility of extension, within a Queensland Government Department based on the Gold Coast. This is a strategic leadership role designed for a professional who thrives in managing multidisciplinary corporate functions within a complex public sector environment.

This role is classified at the AO8 level and offers a highly competitive hourly rate of $97.66 to $103.19 plus superannuation. We are proactively building a talent pool for this upcoming vacancy and encourage senior leaders to register their interest.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Direct a professional team across core business functions, including Finance, HR, and Administration, to drive operational excellence.
• Oversee compliance with departmental frameworks, statutory obligations, and legislative requirements.
• Provide high-level strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to complex board-level reporting and briefing papers.
• Lead change initiatives and system enhancements to streamline corporate service delivery.
  
  

Skills/experience required:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the Queensland Public Sector or a similar large-scale government environment.
• Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality corporate services.
• Exceptional communication skills, with specific experience in writing Ministerial correspondence and Executive submissions.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex governance and financial frameworks with a high degree of integrity.
